How to measure yourself
Use this handy guide to help you measure yourself for a leather jacket or a made to measure garment. I highly recommend having a person to help you take your own measurements.
What you will need:
- A tape measure
- A friend to help you
- Pencil and note pad to write the measurements down.
You can then use your measurements against my handy size guide to make sure you order the right size.
These will be the main measurements you will need.
Place the tape around the fullest part of the bust. The tape must be horizontal at the back. This measurement must not be taken tightly – you don’t want a tight top!
Place the tape around the narrowest part of your waist to get an accurate measurement.
Place the tape around the fullest part of the hip. You can use the hip bone as a guide.
Place the tape measure around the top middle part of your arm with your hand resting softly on your hip (see diagram top arm)
